Description
What you can expect during the one-on-one session
We can meet either virtually on Skype or Zoom, or I’ll meet you at any suitable location within the TriCities (Port Moody, Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam) We can also meet in my studio and backyard in Port Coquitlam. I am fully vaccinated against Covid 19. The studio is only a 10 minutes walk from Lincoln Skytrain station. The one-on-one session is fully customizable to your questions and fields of interest. We will discuss the topics, before you even book. Simply send me an email to start the discussion. Examples of topics are as follows, but not limited to:
Ask me anything (photo related)
We will sit down and go over your specific questions about photography. You can ask me any photography related question and I will have (or at least find) an answer. Bring your camera and lense(s) if you have one, or prepare a list of your specific questions for me. I probably won’t be able to make you an expert in only one session, but a few examples how you can make the most of a 90-minute session:
Stop using auto mode
You’re always in auto mode on your expansive camera? Because you don’t know what “A, AV, TV, M, C1 ” even stand for? I will explain and demonstrate the different settings, buttons and dials on YOUR camera. And you can take pictures to see the difference it makes, when switching between the modes. Take over the control and improve the look and style of your images instantaneously.
Unbiased buying advice for beginners and enthusiasts
I don’t sell any camera gear. Therefore I could provide you with my unbiased opinion about your next or maybe even first camera or lens purchase. I can also show you how I research camera gear before I make buying decisions.
Extensive lens testing to understand the differences
I currently own 14 different lenses for Canon full frame and APS sensor cameras. I tested them all extensively in the field and I’m still using them. I could help you finding out whether or not a specific lens is right for you: Wide angle- / Portrait- / Macro- / Astro- / Sports- / Wildlife- / All-in-one lenses. Let’s test them all and understand the differences. Visit my gallery to see some of my nicest pictures.
Tips & Tricks about composition, custom settings, post processing and more
If you like my pictures, you might be interested to learn how I do it? I’ll teach you the specific setup, give you some composition and focus advice and share the exact settings based on photos you like from my portfolio. I’ll even share the exact shooting location with you! If I could take that picture, you can too!
Those are just a few examples of how you could make use of the 90 minute session. Like I said, we won’t be able to cover everything in just one session, but the advice I give you, will be valuable and most likely effect and improve your photography style and results.
